E-assignment 2:1

Two office workers who know but dislike each other are trapped in a lift/an elevator with a sales representative who they´ve never met before but who they´re both immediately attracted to. Help is on its way.

(A thud is heard from the elevator)
Sales representative: What was that sound? What happened?
Office worker 1: I think we have stopped. There must be something wrong with the elevator.
Sales representative: I need to get out of here. I just hate small spaces.
Office worker 2: Calm down, lady. There will soon come help, i´m sure of it. In the meantime we really should get the most of the time, there is no point in getting worried.
Office worker 1: Yeah, this is a big company. Help is on its way. By the way i´m Tom. And you are? (He stretches out his hand to greet)
Sales representative: Amy. Nice to meet you.
Office worker 2: I´m John. So, Amy, do you come here often. (He makes a big smile, as if he just came up with the joke).
Sales represemtative: Well, since this is my workplace. Yeah, I do come here often. (Clearly not amused by his joke).
Office worker 2: (He gets offended). Oh lighten up. Don´t be so boring!
Office worker 1: Back off, John. She clearly doesn’t want to be hit on by you.
Office worker 2: Shut up, Tom. This is non of your business.
Office worker 1: As a matter of fact, I think this is my business. If i´m alone in an elevator with a nice women that a prick like you are hitting on, badly I have to add, I see it as my job to help her. Saved by the bell!

(They could feel the elevator start moving again and they soon arrived at the next floor).

Office worker 1: Amy, do you feel like grabbing something to eat? Maybe dinner? I mean, to celebrate that we made it out of that elevator.
Sales representative: Haha! Sure, Tom.Why not.
(They both turned their back on John and walked away).
